I do not have a single approach but work with each individual to determine how best to be of service. In general terms my work is based on an integrative model which includes psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, object relations and psychophysiological foundations. For clients requiring multiple types of service I'm happy to collaborate in team fashion with other providers.

I have over 25 years of clinical and research experience and have served as a training faculty member at Havard Medical School and (currently) University of Wisconsin Medical School. I was first licensed as a psychologist in Massachusetts in 1973 and received my doctoral degree from Boston University in 1977. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, listed with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and have the Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards.
Hours of Operation:
Appointments are generally available Tuesday through Friday including some evening times. Monday or Weekend appointments can be specially scheduled on an as needed basis.
My fees are approximately in the mid-range for private practice psychologists in this area. Specific amounts and arrangements can be discussed in person.
Self Pay: For individuals who prefer not to use insurance, who are unable to use insurance, or who do not qualify for insurance benefits, I offer a "no billing" arrangement which involves payment at time of service but with a significant discount. I do not have a sliding scale fee as such, but special fees and /or payment arrangements are negotioable under some circumstances. I do not take credit card payments directly but payments can be made through Paypal. You can use the link provided below.
Third Party Pay: For Individuals seeking treatment for a diagnosable "psychiatric" disorder, I can bill most general indemnity insurance as well as Medicare. I am a member of The Alliance (Employer Health Care Alliance Cooperative) and am a preferred provider for some companies. Please check your handbooks or contact customer relations regarding preferred provider listings.
It is helpful if you know in advance your particular policy and the mental health benefits provided because they are quite different from one company and policy to another. There is usually a customer relations phone number or website to contact. With rare exceptions I am not able to provide reimbursable services to members of an HMO because they are limited to their specific provider panels.
